Fresh Weld County Fishing Reports

The temptures say we are in the dog days of summer but the walleyes are still biting good. Several lakes still have good live bait and/or trolling bites that should continue into August.

Made it out on the ice at Boyd today, while getting off the shoreline ice had gone bad in most area. With the temps this week I’m putting away my ice gear and getting the boat ready. Lake should open to boating Mar 1

Fall is a great time to catch walleyes with a chance of a trophy.

The bite is really picking up for walleyes. This was a short 4 hr trip

The bites continues to be good at Jackson for wipers. Mainly trolling cranks 9–12’ depth - jointed shad raps we best. Numerous doubles and triples once the schools are located.

Got up at 1:30 am, hopped a flight from MN to CO at 6 and as on the lake by 11. Wanted to check on the bite after being gone a week. Dedation to provide the best trips for my clients. Bite is good for walleye and should stay that way for the rest of August. Good numbers with a chance at a trophy of a lifetime.
