Fishing out of south padre island weather was gloomy. Light winds, cold, and rainy, but that did not stop a great group of fisherman. We started with top waters wading shallow grass flats instantly getting into a thick redfish bite! Clients were fishing a tournament so once we got our redfish we quickly slid into deeper water still throwing top waters. With one client having the HOT hand catching a 27 and 24 inch trout! With all said and done clients called myself late evening that day with great news! We took 1st in the redfish. Fishing has been great down south.
