Tuna at Corbatania
Julio 01, 2018 Nuevo Vallarta 1 photo
We had a couple of trips to Corbatania last week. Both scored on tuna in the 20 to 30 lbs range with much bigger fish in the area. A few boats got fish in the 100 lbs class but they were very line shy . The bite on mini cows and cow tuna should break loose any day now and there are also some big marlin out at the rock too. We need a 10 hour trip at least to fish for the cows. The time is here. The bay is holding plenty of white meat Bonita for table fare and plenty of Toro for a fun fighting fish. We have been picking at some small grade Dorado on the inside too

Marlin and Tuna time!!
Septiembre 28, 2018
The time for the BIG black Marlin is here. They are in the Corbatania area feeding on the Skip Jack's and Bonita. Wednesday we had one take down that didn't stick but we got a look at the fish as it exploded out of the water. Easily in the 300lbs plus class, maybe 400lbs. There are also some big tuna showing if you hit it at the right time. Book a trip with Hookedpv sport fishing and tours and come chase a monster. You will see why we are one of the top rated boats in the bay.
Red Hot Spanish Mackerel Bite
Marzo 6, 2018
This entire week the bite on Spanish Mackerel has been incredible. We landed 28 on Monday and 35 on Tuesday. Decent grade fish in the 5 to 10 lbs class. We left them biting at 11 and went in search of some bigger fish. We saw several tailing Marlin and a few Sailfish but no take downs. We did manage to hook a few nice snapper and foul hooked a 200 lbs Manta that we got to the boat and safely removed the hook nd sent her on her way. If you want constant action,on one of the best eating fish in the ocean ,now is the time. We are booked solid until Tuesday and by weeks end we will be booked solid dor next week too. Come fish with Hookedpv,we will hook you up too.
First fish ,is a fish of a lifetime
Enero 2, 2018
We have had some great weather with water conditions being smooth but off color. Our 10 hour trip a few days ago was the families first fishing experience and it will be one remembered by all of us forever. Finding the right water color has become the key to getting bit. Big upwelling of cooler water has affected many areas but if you have the right intel fish are holding in the clean water. We found the perfect conditions and the reward was a beautiful 96" 140 lbs Sailfish who put on one heck of a show. She came on a dead bait rigged with a skirt behind 2 teasers. Like many sailfish do she too the bait gently made a short run, dropped it then picked it up again. Captain Ivan felt the entire process and got a perfect hookset . She exploded out of the water on a very long tail walk then sounded for the battle. The young man who had never caught anything before this was in for a fight and he did a great job following instructions . The sheer joy in his face as she peeled line was the reason we do what we do at HookedPV. Create memories that will last a lifetime for the customer and us. After about a 30 minute battle we got her to leader and as a team got a accurate measurement ,shot a quick picture and put her back in the water. She revved right up and swam away to breed and keep our billfish population going. We have been finding some tuna but it has varied from pretty good to dead from day to day. Lots of life in the bay now ,whales are back as is a pod of Orcas. Things should pick up soon as the fleet is fairly busy so lot of scouting getting done. Fishing Pelagics is always a gamble but we at Hooked will do everything we can to put you on fish. Book a trip and see why HookedPV is 1st in customer service.
