Snook are bitting

Trip Summary

I ran north 20 miles again yesterday to the mouth of Manatee river. We caught a number of snook using live white baits up against the mangroves. The sheepshead (not those nasty ones caught in Great Lakes) are starting to school up on the bridges. We managed to catch 6 or so along with some grunts and snapper. Pretty good day overall even dealing with high wind and the full moon. I highly recommend 3/4 or full days right now so your trip isn't eaten up with the 40 minute ride north. I do fish you a bit longer to compensate.
