Trip Summary
Today we finally where able to get out and fish the ocean after 4 days of rough seas. We where hopeful but concerned the ocean and fish weren’t going to be ready. We where half right. The current was non existent with zero wind. A super flat ocean isn’t always the best. We started on the reef with live bait and had a slow pick at keeper mangroves, yellowtails. Plenty of grouper released and then BOOM! One of our live bait flat lines took off and after a ten minute which seemed like a hour on light tackle we landed a 33inch 17lb mutton snapper. A fish of a lifetime! We then worked 3 wrecks and fought 3 big fish and landed one large Jack. What a day it just proves once again If you don’t go you will never know!!!
