Great Fishing Continues, Getting Better
Left the dock at 6:00am and headed for the Coronado Islands. Reached the islands at about 7:00am. Beautiful weather, flat calm seas. We had our Mexican limit of Vermilion within 1.5 hours. (25 Vermilion) If you haven’t ate Vermilion before you have to try it! White flakey meat perfect for tacos, ceviche, or simply with garlic, lemon, and butter fried on a pan. After we reached our limits of Vermilion, we proceeded south in search of California Yellowtail and lingcod. We got on a lingcod bite which we harvested a few quality lings. And other assorted rockfish species. Although the Yellowtail were MIA. All in all it was another beautiful day on the water with a great group of people. Anglers went home with stuffed coolers and smiles!
