Trip Summary

This past Monday we had another boys trip! From Grandpa all the way down to his grandson. The clients wanted some tasty snappers for the dinner table and then they where hoping for a big trophy fish. The reef was a bit tough with a very fast moving current but we kept switching weight and bait and managed a respectable catch of keeper fish. We moved to a wreck close by and drifted some live bait on the bottom. The first hour not a bite. We read the fish on the fish finder and knew to keep working the wreck on every side of it. Well it paid off in the next hour we boat not one but 2 African Pompano’s!!! These fish fight insane. We had to chase the big one with the boat at one point. The fish was 10lbs shy of the state record which was caught 28 years ago. This multi generation of fisherman will never forget this trip nor will we. They chose to have the big one mounted as to never forget this day and pass that fish down to generations to come! Wow is all I can say
