Trip Summary

Windy reds in Shell Beach. Today was day one for the Mike Drake group. With the wind blowing 20 out the NE trout were out of the question, so we headed into the marsh to chase redfish. It was never a fast crazy bite, but steady enough to keep us around and the guys filled the box with limits of reds along with 2 trout, 2 flounder, and a few sheepshead. It was a fun day and hopefully the winds stay down for tomorrow so we can chase trout for day two. All fish in the Suzuki powered Blazer Bay 2400 were caught with Campo’s live shrimp on Capt. Rory's United Charters custom rods provided by CUI Products with Penn reels, spooled with KastKing line. All fish removed and boxed with the one and only Jus Grab it Glove. The Speckled Trout bite has been good outside deep in the Sound when conditions permit, but the Redfish have been really hot and consistent in the marsh.
