Trip Summary

The weather forecast told of a day that would be good for fishing Tampa Bay, 20-30 Percent chance of rain and 9-12 mph winds. The day was set and we left the dock under cloudy and rainey conditions hoping the weather man would be right. Winds continued to 12 mph all day and sometimes stronger. Light rains and cold continued all day. We tried several spots before finding a cache of large Black Sea Bass. Eight were caught in the 12 to 15 inch range and the weather getting worse. Heading in closer to port we tried for sheepshead. After catching two the weather blew us out. The wrong weather forecast aside, we came home with 10 edible fish.
