Trip Summary

Every full day trip last week produced limits of Redfish in New Orleans. We had great tides which helped keep the fish feeding during the heat of the day. The Bonnie Carrie Spillway may have pushed the trout away, but it has done wonders for our Redfish population. Donna and Lorraine returned to the Bluewave for a quick trip recently. The ladies put their share of fish in the boat using live shrimp and artificial baits. Liz and Nick returned for another fun day on the Bluewave recently. We covered over 30 miles of water, finding a slow trout bite every bit of the way. The last hour of the trip the wind died, giving us perfect conditions for sight fishing redfish. They caught enough to save the day and kept a couple for the trip home. Captain Drake Morvant
