FUN TIMES catching plenty of Speckled Tr

Trip Summary

Every Trip the past week has been for Speckled Trout. We have been catching great numbers of the Trout with a few Reds being added as well. I had a group of 6 yesterday that originally requested for everyone to fish on one boat. I was happy to explain why I should hire another boat to help run the trip. One captain on a bay boat serving 6 anglers, in my opinion is a disservice to each angler on board. I want everyone to be baited, fishing the correct technique, and comfortable with plenty of room to move around and cast, so they can be CATCHING and having a great time. If there are 6 anglers crammed on board, casting room becomes an issue. The chance of someone getting hooked increases and 2 or 3 lines tangling becomes inevitable. If I am untangling line, it won't be long before the rest of the anglers are waiting for bait or a fish to be unhooked. By limiting the amount of anglers on board to 3, each person is getting the attention they deserve with plenty of space to move around. So, back to yesterday's trip, we slammed the Speckled Trout! The other captain and myself were able to keep the school of Trout fired up and eating our hooks by keeping everyone baited and casting to the correct spot. I'm looking forward to the next several weeks as most of the trips on the books will be for Redfish, which is my favorite species to target. November, December, and January are the best months to catch plenty Redfish.
