Trip Summary
The weather and conditions were a bit iffy with an approaching cold front but clients fishing out of the Venice, Florida area on Friday stuck it out with me and got into some really nice fish while fighting the elements. We stuck mostly to the backcountry to stay out of the rising winds from the cold front, only to deal with some less than perfect water clarity. Still within moments of leaving the dock they went 1 for 2 on juvenile Tarpon. As we worked our way through the morning, changing tactics and areas to try and get on a better bite, clients caught multiple Snook and smaller Redfish, some Black drum, Flounder, Snapper, and a few Sheepshead. All in all, our persistence and perseverance paid off and it was a successful and fun day on the water.
