Trip Summary

We had a great afternoon trip yesterday. We left the dock and found perfect conditions in the local area. Our options were to head towards the other 300 boats all fishing in one area, or go the opposite direction and work near the marina. We ended up working near the marina without another boat in sight in Lake Catherine and BOOM!! Got'em!!! In a few hours this fun crew put 50 NICE trout and a few reds on ice. We must have thrown back about 30 trout that were 12" - 13". These guys were only interested in keeping 15" and up. Live Shrimp was the only thing the Trout wanted to eat.

Donna and Lorraine returned to the Bluewave for a quick trip recently. The ladies put their share of fish in the boat using live shrimp and artificial baits. I appreciate their continued business and look forward to the next one. Spring means short boat rides to the fish, and that means more time to fish. Dates are going fast. Mr. Jim returned last fall for his annual Fall trip. He enjoyed beautiful weather along with easy catching. Took about an hour for him to put his share of trout in the boat with a few extras. Liz and Nick returned for another fun day on the Bluewave recently. We covered over 30 miles of water, finding a slow trout bite every bit of the way. The last hour of the trip the wind died, giving us perfect conditions for sight fishing redfish. They caught enough to save the day and kept a couple for the trip home. Captain Drake Morvant
