Trip Summary

The winter months in south Florida call for lots of action. Both inshore and offshore! With a huge variety of species to target from tarpon and snook fishing the bridges and inlets in the Intercostal waterways, to fishing deep channels and flats in just inches of water chasing the elusive bonefish also known as the “silver ghost” using ultra-light tackle 6.lbs-8.lbs spinning outfits. They really give you a run for your money!! Amongst bonefish we’ve also been catching very nice mutton snappers, yellow jacks and spanish mackerel which make great table fair to say the least!! Offshore.. The sailfishing has been pretty consistent kite fishing using live bait. Drifting along the edge of the reef just 2 miles offshore!! There’s been a few decent mahis around in the 15-30.pound range. And we’ve also been catching quite a few kingfish. This time of year we try use the cold fronts to our advantage. As the water temperatures drop the fish tend really turn on. Let’s get out on the water and make some memories! Fetched Up Charters Capt.Leo Lombera
