Cold Front in Effect

Trip Summary

It was a tough day of fishing. Winds were directly out of the North. Tide was supposed to be incoming. However, water was pouring out of the creeks and rivers into the bay. Water temperature had the reds and speckled trout unwilling to bite artificial lures. My wife and I fished in depths ranging from 9’ to 30’ and could not get them to bite. As the day progressed, I did a little scouting and found water temperature as high as 57.7. It was there that we had our first bite. Unfortunately, she was not prepared for it when it happened. After a little good natured ribbing, I reminded her it has happened to me. Like so many things in life, you have to always be prepared.
