Here we are in December with the first cold fronts of the year pushing their way through Florida. With the cold fronts comes our winter time species such as Pompano, Spanish Mackerel, Tripletail and many more. As we head farther into winter the fishing will only get better and better. October is a very special time of year to be here in Stuart, Florida. We have an annual Mullet run that happens every fall. Mullet are a type of bait fish that migrate down the coast by the millions and swarm into the inlets. This triggers a feeding frenzy every fall. This time of year is great to target Snook, Tarpon, Redfish and Big Jacks. These fish can be caught all day long, but the best times are early morning and late afternoon (low light conditions).
