Trip Summary

When it comes to fishing, we all know that being in the right place at the right time makes all the difference. Our trip was initially set for a 7am departure but after reviewing the tide we contacted our guest to suggest 8am instead - the tide was later in the morning and this would give us more time fishing when the bite is on. The first 2 hours of the morning was slow with only a couple of small blackfin tuna and a baracuda. Then almost as predicted the Yo-zuri Bonita on the wire line was slammed by a 25lb wahoo. A few minutes later he was attached to the end of that aftco gaff and in the boat. Wahoo onboard and excitment in the air, we put the lines back out and made a few more passes in the same area. 3rd time was the charm - we doubled up on Dolphin (mahi mahi) to end the trip!
