Summertime Fishing Sizzles

Trip Summary

Summertime has firmly settled in along the Space and Treasure Coasts of Florida and our shallow saltwater fishing is sizzling. The species who have been the all stars the past several weeks have been the rapacious redfish and the seemingly omnipresent tarpon. And it doesn't seem to matter where you are fishing either - The Indian River Lagoon near Titusville, the Banana River Lagoon near Cocoa Beach or the Indian River Lagoon in the Vero Beach and Fort Pierce areas. The featured pictures in this report are a pair of fifty inch redfish bested by Randy Park from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Both of these gorgeous beasts were caught while wading along the pristine shallow saltwater of the lagoon. What an unforgettable battle on light spinning tackle. The other redfish photos attached involve Mike Brown who, along with his fishing buddy Nate from Pensacola, both from Orlando, caught a number of bull reds and gator trout. Also holding trophy trout in this report are Maria and Carlos from Austin, Texas.
