Today I had the pleasure of taking Mr. Eric and his family. The kids were home from college on Thanksgiving break and it was the perfect opportunity to get out on the water and catch some fish. Today was one of those days where everything goes right! Rain chances dropped to nothing, winds laid down, and the fish bit non-stop! We pulled up to the first spot and there were birds diving and shrimp jumping out the water running from feisty speckled trout. We were able to catch single and doubles on artifical about 2’ under a cork. We then transitioned to sliding cork setups in varying depths from 10’-16’ and the bite stayed hot. Lastly we switched to my go to drop shot rigs and fished the bottom in approximately 25’ of water and finished filling the box! Today was truly one of those special days...the trolling motor held us spot-locked in the same spot for 4.5 hours and the crew caught fish in the entire 25’ water column, it was just amazing and so much fun to see the double and triple hookups and fish flying over the side all morning. Total count for the day was 94 trout and 1 big redfish. We shared stories, laughs, some new recipes, and a great time was had by all! Really looking forward to taking this crew again!
