That’s What’s Up

Trip Summary

Pretty much the perfect day with this group from California. We had a little bit of a late start due them having a pretty long drive to teach the marina in the morning, but that sure didn’t kill the spirit. These folks were ready to go. We headed offshore about 32 miles and quickly found what we’re looking for. For three and half hours we never left a 1/2 mile circle. We ended up raising 11 sails and one blue, releasing six of the sails. At that point the crew was whipped and asked if we could start trolling back towards the marina. They asked if we had any shot at grabbing something for a couple nights dinner, so we picked up and ran 23 miles back towards the marina to a grouper number that never disappoints. After three drifts over the spot we had four grouper and a few margaritas. This was just enough to make sure they weren’t going to left hungry. Really couldn’t have asked for a better crew or conditions and we were still back to the dock early.
