Trip Summary
After a night at Bokkisa island resort and with a new crew onboard we set off before sunrise heading south. The first half a day was spent punching into 25 knots of wind, which made for a particularly long and uncomfortable morning ! It was worth it though! We arrived at our destination half way down the east coast of Malakula, after some lunch and a bit of prep we were ready to put the baits out. It took ten minutes to find the fish and in that afternoon we caught a lively Sailfish on a Rapala, 4 wahoo, some small dogtooth and a couple of job fish. Then it was back to a nearby anchorage for dinner and to get ready for a dogtooth session at dawn the next day. Not a bad haul for an afternoon, and its always a bonus when you get fresh Sashimi!
