Wind Blowing Strong!

Trip Summary

I took a great group out, today. The wind was supposed to blow anywhere from 10 to 15 mph. Well, it was a pretty steady 20 mph! Whitecaps and spray. We tucked ourselves into the marsh and picked up a few short flounder fairly quick, eith some misses, too. With a near full-moon tide, I knew other spots would lose water, quickly. We danced around and picked up a few more shorts, but 30 minutes in between each fish. Way to slow! White, chartreuse, Mack, Pro-cure…jigs, top-bottoms…lockjaw. Holding bottom w/3 ounces was tough. Water was dirty from Ocean City to Margate and lots of seaweed (not usually a problem). Thankfully, ww had full sun, great conversation and willingness to not give up! But the tide was leaving us with few calm options as I started churning some mud in key travel routes. Not the best catching, but a fantastic trip because of super-nice fishers! It was my pleasure to meet them! ???
