Trip Summary

We did a half day trip in the morning just before the winds picked up and good fortune blew our way. We started out on the deeper reef and the first cast produced a nice Yellowtail and then another so we thought we hit it right, that was until our 3rd, 4th, 5th. 6th, 7th, 8th, we'll I think you get the idea brought in the sharks and they were off their diet as they devoured any fish we tried to speed reel into the boat. After loosing some nice fish to the tax man we decided to pick up and move to some nearshore waters and that's when we started catching a variety of fish including Mutton Snapper, Margate, Porgy and the star of the day, Hogfish Snapper. Although the Mutton's were just short of legal size we still enjoyed catching at least 15 of them in a short period of time. The Hogfish were plenty big enough though and took a few for the cooler.
