Great captain who was very patient with a group of beginners. We caught a bunch of fish and had a great time. We will be back.
I was charged for an offshore trip, even though we had to stay inshore due to the red ride. The captain is obviously not a morning person, but I can relate with that. The kicker is he spent the entire trip talking about how much he hates tourists, tourist season and where we were staying. He wasn’t the most pleasant person we met on vacation but he was committed to making sure we caught fish. The biggest annoyance? We weren’t allowed to bait our own hooks, cast our own poles, or get the fish off the hooks. We aren’t professional fisherman but we can handle ourselves and a pole fairly well. He had some wild stories but listening to him brag about how much money he makes on his various business ventures was in poor taste and tiring. We could have used a bigger boat, which I’m sure he had because we heard all about his other boats, for 6 hours. Maybe all boat Captains have this level of self inflation? I’m not sure, but at least he knew how to filet our fish, because we weren’t allowed to do that either. He mentioned his insurance won’t let us touch anything. However, he did make sure the ladies got a pit stop in the middle of the trip for a bathroom break. The highlight of this man’s charm was when he was finely genuinely happy when I caught a big fish, but hearing him complain about his clients for 6 hours negates that. We won’t be seeing Captain Camille again.

There was a tropical storm in the Gulf and red tide scattered throughout the bay, conditions were far from favorable but your Captain worked hard to put you on fish the entire time. You caught quality fish despite these conditions.
