Had a great time! Fish weren’t biting as well as we would have liked but it was a great experience and capn Richard was fantastic ?

Captain Richard is knowledgeable and professional. He taught us about casting. He was wonderful with my son and did his best to catch “the big one” but weather was not working with us. My son caught a small stingray, was able to hold a jellyfish, we had a few pods of dolphins come close to boat….all things he would never experience fishing in North Dakota. I will recommend Captain Richard to any I know visiting Hilton Head. Thank you

This is the second year in a row that my family has booked with Off Duty Charters and there’s a sincere reason we will try and book him again for a third year.

This was a longer charter (5hr) for us as it was a surprise birthday gift for my uncle from Wisconsin. We set out to the reef near Hilton Head and low and behold, we snagged an 8-10ft shark. Most people would have cut ties after 15-20 minutes of fighting this beast but Cpt Rich lead us on an epic chase for over an hour. Only at the hour-fifteen mark did the line snap.

After that, we didn’t have much luck at that spot anymore so Cpt Rich lead us more inland where we hit the jackpot.

His knowledge of the area and overall demeanor keeps us coming back each year. Absolutely incredible.

This was a great trip capt Richard got us on the sharks right away when the bite slowed down we moved and it picked up again.. he was very knowledgeable and friendly . Easy going and easy to talk to.. total we brought 11 fish in the boat and lost 4 or 5 so was plenty of action. I would recommend him to anyone looking to have a good day on the water and catch some fish .. I know I’ll be booking with him again…
