Went out past the islands to score an almost 8ft sailfish and a somewhat decent Wahoo, as well as some stunning whale breaches. Miguel and J.J. were first rate. Equipment was solid.
Be aware, meals and drinks are “bring your own.”
One star hit against the boat. Although there is a bathroom as advertised, it wasn’t available, leaving the bucket with turned heads—-convenient enough for a guy (if the seas are settled), but might not be appreciated by ladies.

We had a fun day dishing with “FLIPPER 4” Captain “Miguel Rodriguez”. He was accompanied by his nephew, Eduardo. They are both very nice, and accommodating. We booked a whole day. We trolled for jacks and bonito. Caught several (at least 5). They were very patient in assisting my friends who don’t fish frequently. We also tried for Rooster fish along the shoreline without success; however, the shoreline was very pretty and it gave us a chance to see part of the coastline.
We saw many, many humpback whales and they are amendable to taking you reasonably/responsibly close.
The boat was very clean and had a nice cooler. We were responsible for drinks, snacks and lunch. Would recommend lots of water. There is a substantial seating in the bow with cushions. The bathroom is clean but spartan (it is a fishing boat!!).
Highly recommend this boat and crew.

Captain and deck hand early and ready to go second I got there. Worked non stop trolling changing from artifical, to baits live and wrapped. Never got discouraged, and if you count the sizable skip jack I probably brought to the boat 15 fish. Boar tried to release all that could survive. At one point we had 3 on at once and they kept other two on until I could bring in one at a time. It’s a good thing when you arms get tired. The best was fighting in a good size Mahi, heard probably only of the day from fleet - and then taking a filet of it to a restaurant in the Marina that the Captain recommended. They cooked it three ways and all were very good. Do yourself a favor and book this trip.

We had a great trip. Not only did we catch fish in the middle of the afternoon. We saw plenty of whales and sea turtles. Such a fun day.
Thanks so much for your review
We left Nuevo Vallarta at about noon and returned about 4pm on July 1. Because we only did a 4 hour trip, we were limited to the species of fish we could target. The Dorados were closest. This time of the year, the Dorados are not as big, but we hooked quite a few. The rods were a bit oversized for these fish, but you never know what will hit. The boat was clean and kept clean by Lalo, the deck hand. I would fish with Capt Miguel again. Happy fishing!
