Taxi boat on the beach promptly at 6am, ran I think 8-10mi out and started fishing. They just had us on the fish constantly. 7 line spread. Nice abundant amount of teasers. From the tower spotting the pods of dolphins and putting us on Yellowfin all-day. Overall just a really great group to fish with. Plenty of laughing and smiles all around. Highly recommend!

Pickup and launching from the beach was a bit odd as I had not done that before, but know having done it twice, its super simple to jump on water taxi. Its made better by Pedro waiting for you on the beach so you are not wandering around. That means a lot for folks not familiar with the area.
I was a little surprised to see a four man crew (including captain), but man, given the complexity of the spread they tossed out (we were fishing for Sailfish) you can see why they were ALL needed. The team was super attentive, super polite, and most definitely had their stuff together. If the tip of the rod moved a millimeter, the guys were up and moving before we even knew we had a hit, with spread cleared in no time to allow us to fight the fish.
We caught two great sailfish, a nice Mahi and a Skipjack on a challenging weather day (it never blows wind here, but of course did for our trip). Would definitely recommend.

We went for a full day and while it was a bit slow we still had three sailfish bites and landed two very large ones (8ft and 9.5ft). We found a ton of spinning dolphins so we were able to hook up five tunas, landed three. The communication booking, boat, crew and experience were all great.
We had an excellent 10 hour Extreme Charter with Capt Pedro and the crew on Luminare! We boated 5 Ahi Tuna, 4 Mahi Mahi ranging from 44 to 53 ” and fought a sailfish to within 25’ of the boat. Lost one other nice yellow fin tuna! We had a double-header and triple header with Mahi! Going home with 70 lbs of filets! Would definitely recommend Luminare Sportfishing! Deckhands Jose and Eric rocked! All in all, a Great Catching experience! Thanks Capt Pedro !!!

Had our best deep sea fishing experience ever! Pedro and the crew were amazing. They even made us sushi after catching a tuna for lunch. At the end of the day we had a grand slam — 4 different types of fish (tuna, mahi mahi, sailfish and marlin). Sadly we could not bring the marlin in the boat for pics but it was still exciting to reel that big guy in! Amazing experience, I will definitely be back with Luminare the next time I am in Costa Rica!!
