We searched ALOT of options - and choose Captain Daniel and Reel Life Fishing as he was super responsive and even called to confirm while we were on route . We are avid Canada - west coast fishing enthusiasts- and came with our 3 boys - age 10 and 12 and Captain Daniel was exceptional - he chased the deep sea fishing for eldorado and quickly pivoted to rock fishing to make sure everyone caught something - we caught 26 fish total . We took a 12-hour offshore trip on August 9th. It was a cloudy and later sunny calm day. We left at around 7:00am after obtaining live sardine baits and went out to the ocean about 37 miles and the Captain Johnny finally signaled to start fishing after searching tuna about an hour at that area. Soon after that there was a hit on my rod and next on my son’s (Shota’s) rod. We caught about 40 pound ones almost at the same time. Then the story continued. I and my son’s friend(Robert) got hit almost at the same time again and caught about same size of bluefins. Finally, my friend (Toshi) also caught a same size at the end of the day. What a nice day it was! We caught 5 bluefin tunas!. This was the first tuna fishing for all of us. Captain Johnny cleaned those fish for us to bring them back home easily. We thank you, Captain Johnny to give us such a great day!

Great trip! Didn’t catch anything the first 5 hours but the last 30 minutes of the trip made it all worth it. Better to get the live bait ahead of time so we don’t have to wait in a long line. Hauled in a huge yellow fin tuna and caught a halibut. The captain was great with us and filleted the fish even though another trip was waiting for him.

We had a blast catching a variety of fish. Captain Daniel made the experience fun for all 5 of us. The boat and equipment was top notch and I highly recommend you fish with him. We are from NY and Had no idea what to expect. Captain answered all of our questions and showed us pods of dolphin some sea lions and lots of fish. Thanks Captain Daniel!
