My dad and I went on the sunrise trip and it was a great experience all around. The captain is knowledgeable and knows the best spots to anchor at, we were lucky to catch 3 black drummers (35-40 pounds), a red drummer (30 pounds), and several smaller fish. If you are planning a trip to Amelia Island, you need to check out this charter for some wonderful fish to bring back home!

Capt Michael is a true professional and outstanding guide. My son loved fishing growing up and since joining the Navy, he and I have had very little time to spend together. We decided to book a trip with Big Fin Charters and did not know what to expect but was just hoping to spend some time on the water together. After scouting the area, Capt Michael determined the best place to place to cast our lines and within 30 minutes, my son was fighting a Bull Redfish for ten plus minutes. And I was soon to follow. The family had a great time fishing with Capt. Michael. He knew the spots to fish and was very patient with our kids. Kids had a blast catching sharks and other fish. But sharks were their goal and we got 5 of them. We will be back fishing with Big Fin again.

We caught Bonnet Head Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Mangrove, Black Drum, and Catfish. Captain Michael was super entertaining and had great stories while he was working hard to constantly check our lines adiust the boat but keeping us on the fish even in the downpour of the “stinging” rain! We booked a 10 hour off shore, but the sea was too rough. Instead of canceling the trip, captain recommended a 4 hour inland fishing trip. We caught some fish, captain cleaned up the fish for us. We took it to a nearby restaurant to have fish cooked for us for lunch. Michael was very good with our kids and knowledge of the area. Overall, we had a nice experience!
