While we didn’t catch anything (not Bill or Julie’s fault), the experience couldn’t have been better. We stayed out extra time to hopefully catch something. My 11yr old daughter and almost 16 yr old son and I had a great time. Learned a ton and enjoyed the entire trip. Of the 50+ boats Near the intersection of the river And the Pacific, we only saw 3 total fish caught (2 salmon and one perch) in about 8 hours - just not a day for the bites. But, Julie and Bill were terrific and when we come back to Gold Beach, we absolutely contact Salmon King Lodge Fishing for another trip.

We were fortunate enough to book 2 days with Captain Bill and his deckhand River. They put us on limits of rockfish with and even though the salmon fishing was slow he was able to find us a few fish on the river including this tasty 20 lber. Can’t wait to book my next trip.
