Great day of fishing on the reef with limit of yellowtail snappers, also released a bunch of shorts and other fish. Captain and mate are very knowledgeable and worked hard to put us on the fish and keep our lines baited and in the water. Very friendly and fun to spend a morning on the water with.

Went out with Captain Maddox and had an amazing time.  It was my wife and I and three boys (12, 15, 17).  We are not very experienced at fishing, especially salt water, and the captain and first mate were very patient, gave great instructions to the kids (and adults), and worked hard to find us good fishing locations.  We caught 16 yellow and mangrove snappers that were keepers and many other fish that weren’t quite large enough or not edible.  One of the highlights for my boys was catching a puffer fish that blew up like a balloon.  Still laughing about that one a couple days after the trip.  My oldest caught a small shark which was fun for him to bring in as well.  Overall a great time and I would highly recommend booking the trip with Johnny Maddox.

First of all this was a great trip. The captain and first mate were fun and very knowledgeable. Would definitely book again. One suggestion, we understand the cost of fuel and that was one of the first questions we asked was additional fuel price. Was told it was included. We feel that if we were asked before the trip if we needed to go into deeper waters for the Mahi, we would get a fuel adder, which we would of been happy to pay. Other than that, we had a great trip and will be back in a couple years.

Fishing was slow but Chance and CAPT. Jim worked hard to get on fish. They were great hard working and made sure we were having fun. We didn’t catch as many as we would have wanted but they worked very hard to give us the chance to catch. Highly recommend.
