We took a 3 hour trip in the morning with captain Rodney. We caught some redfish, a bluefish, a few sea trout and a bonnet head shark. He moved us to various locations to catch different fish. The captain was great with the young fisher-girl we had with us, allowing her to help grab up the bait fish and put them into the live well and when she was done wanting to fish her self he let her get the bait fish for everyone else when we needed them saved help with the net when needed. He spotted an eagle and pointed it out to us and we also saw some dolphins feeding. Definitely recommend captain Rodney!

Our family of 4 had a blast! Captain Rodney called us the day before and adjusted our trip based on the weather for the day to get us started an hour early. Due to the winds, he kept us back in the river to stay safe as well. We really appreciate his attention to those details, especially when having the kids with us.
As for fishing, it was tough early in the day but we did land some good fish on the boat and had a blast with him. His boat is clean and just the right size. His gear is top notch and he’s fully equipped to handle whatever bites.
We’ll definitely book with Captain Rodney next time we’re in Hilton Head!

What a trip!! We caught a monster black drum, a ton of redfish, sea trout, and lonely sheep fish. Captain Summers was about the best guide we could have imagined and we caught so many fish… we stopped counting! I’d highly recommend this trip for any heading down to Hilton Head!

Saw so much wildlife! Sea turtle swimming, pods of dolphins, hawk flying with fish in mouth, jellyfish-that wasn’t even the fishing part! We wanted to catch-n-release sharks and that’s what we did. First, net catch the bait-Pogie (sp?) fish. Captain Rodney was there to teach and help with these novice fishers. 2 Bonnett Sharks, Finetooth Shark and 2 Black Tip Sharks (1 breaking the line while trying to haul out of water)! Such a wonderful experience that went by too quickly. Definitely will fish with Captain Rodney again!!
