I am a longtime fisherman… The trip was a different type of fishing that I am accustomed to. It was awesome to learn a new technique and to fish the way the locals do. The Captain (Ahmed), his deckhand (I forget his name), and our tour guide (Mahmoud) were absolutely fantastic. They catered to every single need and anticipated in advance what might be needed. We caught several different species of reef fish… Although, nothing that would be worthy of hanging over the fireplace, it was an absolutely incredible experience. We fished a couple of spots and caught enough for them to prepare lunch… As they were preparing lunch we were snorkeling and having a great time looking at the reefs. As you can tell by the pictures the spread for lunch was nothing short of spectacular for being on a fishing boat with very limited cooking supplies. This was an experience that I and my wife will never forget. We have traveled all over the United States and I have fish many places in Baja Mexico. I’ve caught several different types of fish, some that would be considered trophies of a lifetime. This was not that …… This was coming to the Red Sea and learning how to fish the way the locals fish this area. Come with an open mind of learning a new technique and meeting some amazing people and I promise you will have a memorable trip. When they say private they mean private it was my wife and myself and the three crewmembers…… If you’re thinking about this trip and are not sure, stop thanking in the book it
