We had a great time with Captain Frank. He put us on the fish. Everyone got the chance to reel in plenty of fish. Made some great memories.  We will be booking another trip in the future. Slim was our deck hand and a great guy too. He made sure everyone was taken care of and kept the rods and bait moving for us. He stayed busy. Thanks again for a great trip.

For a rough day on the water, enough to pull the anchor and having to reset our spot, Capt Frank and first mate went to great lengths to make for a memorable trip our family enjoyed and will not forget.  We caught, photographed and released the largest Red Snappers we have ever caught, along with few other large fish that put up some good fun exhausting fights.

We had a great day weather wise.  A bit hot with a little chop but nothing too much of a concern.

Once we headed out, we did a quick search for some bait fish.  In the recent past, this was hard to find.  The captain and his mate quick spotted them, cast the net and pulled up a huge amount.  Everything was very promising.

We then cruised out to where the other boats were at.  Unfortunately, not much was biting.  We did share a smaller while trolling but couldn’t keep it since it is out of season.  After a while, lines up and we went off to another location.  Once again, trolling proved fruitless. Switched plans to bottom fishing.  2 more nice sized snappers which had to back.  We also booked a goliath grouper or large shark.  After a battle, the broke.  My daughter had fun trying to reel that in.

Listening to the VHF radio, there were very few reports of anyone catching kings or other fish.

At that point, our time was up and headed back to the dock.

Frustrating but fun.  The captain did what he could.  They were very helpful with technique and ensuring then lines were baited.

Hopefully next time we will have more success.

This was our first time on a charter and it was amazing. Captain Frank took us out 21 miles and as soon as our lines hit the water the fish were biting. We brought home some good fish. We are already planning our next trip out.

We had a great time with Off the Grid. Rough conditions made things interesting but Captain Frank got us on the fish. My highlight was a stud Amberjack that made for some fine eating. The “endanged” Red Snappers kept everyone busy at every spot we stopped. First mate Slim was great and kept us not only fishing but entertained.
