We scheduled this trip was Cpt.Jason on 30’ fishing boat, toilet and a crew of 2 and an experienced Capitan. What we got, without any notification of a change was, a 22-25’ boat, with no toilet and only 1 crew member, who drove the boat as Capitan and only had 3 months experience. For this cost it was disappointing. The person showedup 30 minites late and did not extend our time We did catch fish even though it was totally not what we wanted. Even though we did not get what we expected, we did tip appropriately. Not sure we would book here again

First I would like to start by saying pretty much this whole review is a lie. The lady leaving this review was not on the boat (there were only 2 men on the trip). First let me start by addressing the boat. I’m not even sure where you are coming up with your information. You were 100% on our 30ft seahunt with twin motors so there was no boat switch on you. This boat is a center console fishing boat and it does have a porta potty in the center console. One of the men on the boat asked how people use the bathroom and the captain told him most guys just pee over the side (which they do because it’s easier than getting in the console). He also did inform him there was a toilet in the console if he needed to use it. I’m not sure why you would assume there would be two crew members on this boat. There is no need to have anyone else on this boat except a captain. We communicated prior to the trip when you asked if it was a private charter and I told you yes it would be your group and the captain. There was no questions or issues with that when I told you. Many captains run boats of all sizes by themselves with no need for any crew. There were only 2 customers on the boat so not sure what the reason for even needing anyone else except the captain would be. Yes this captain has only been working for us for a few months but has fished his whole life and has his own boat as well so the 3 months of experience is completely incorrect. As far as the time the captain showed up yet another lie. The men on the boat actually left the dock 10 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time. They received the full 4 hour jetty trip. We can’t control the fish that bite the hook. I’m not sure what your group wanted to catch. Everyday on the water results in different species coming in the boat. On the day of your trip the men on the boat caught Atlantic sharp nose, black drum, stingray, black tip, bonnet head and sheepshead.

Tyler was our captain and they did a fantastic job. Rain and cold and still able to deliver. Had a great time catching bull reds and black drum. Would definitely recommend and come back to Rod Bending Guides again.
Caught one big red and a large shark, plus a lot of small whiting and sand trouts, some keepers. Tide was out, no wind, and still water, fish just weren’t there. Captain worked hard to put us on different spots. Kids had a great time reeling in the smalls, keeping them busy. They actually liked this trip better than 8 hour productive near shore trips.

Everything was a blast from start to finish! Definitely recommend Jason and company. They know all the great spots to catch big or small fish. Book a full day, you won’t regret it.
