We have been on many charters on the gulf, but never in Galveston, and usually catch our limit on reds, trout and usually catch other fish as well. This trip was disappointing as we started at a jetty and little nibbles stealing the bait, stayed there several hours before we changed locations to a spot with 2 -3 ft swells that was uncomfortable to endure and one of our members because nauseous and we weren’t catching anything. We did finally move back to the jetty’s where we caught 1 big fish that was great and fun to see caught, but nothing to really show for our trip! Our captain received 2 citations for not have the proper safety equipment and another for our captain not being enrolled in a drug screening program, so that made me wonder if they really took our safety seriously. If you want a very expensive boat ride, then this charter might be for you! Sorry I couldn’t leave a better review! I was hoping by the pictures on their website that we would be on some fish!

Every day on the water is different unfortunately some days are slower then others. The rough water is where the fish bite so this is why your captain went to this location. Some people can’t handle these conditions (due to getting sea sick) so this is why you moved back to the calmer waters. The tickets you are referring to will be dropped. The coast guard regulations are clearly stated that we were legal in the life jackets. They mistook this boat for a offshore boat and it’s a inland boat we have all correct gear required. All our captains are enrolled in the drug screening program. Also, this same day approximately 10 other charter companies received these incorrect violations.
