Great day, still a little bit chilly but fun experience
After having taken several guided trips between Texas and Louisiana, my trip with Cap’t Muckleroy ranks as one of the best. Cap’t Muckleroy was ready to launch by the time we made it to the dock and the first thing that stood out was the cleanliness of the boat and Cap’t Muckleroy’s warm “welcome aboard” attitude. We were apprised of the safety requirements and the location of emergency/safety items. My sons (12 and 17) seemed at ease with his disposition. Cap’t Muckleroy was very knowledgeable with regards to the body of water we were fishing (Galveston Bay), the stops and locations seemed to be of a pattern that was determined by the days conditions. Several fish were caught at each stop and limits were easily caught with the Cap’t focusing on making sure that us as the customers steadily had the best opportunities to catch fish. It was especially pleasing to see him coach my 12yr old when ever he had a fish on to make sure the fish made it to the boat. Even though limits were achieved relatively early, we continued to fish (catch and release) well into the day until my sons became a little restless. We enjoyed a pleasant ride back to the dock and chatted with the Cap’t whilst he filleted and bagged our catch. I would definitely recommend Cap’t Dean Muckleroy and would consider him as a “must do” on Galveston Bay!!
