I’ve fished the Keys for years, young Capt Joey (a true conch) is one of THE most knowledgeable, experienced and patient captains that I’ve EVER had the pleasure to fish with in my life.  He went to every effort and extreme to put us on fish, than 90% of the Captains in my 50 years of chartering/fishing. We filled 2 fish boxes with fish and were fighting them until we were wiped out physically LMAO. I will ONLY go with Capt Joey in the future when we return later this year. We ALL know it’s called “fishing”, but if you want THE best chance to actually “catch” fish, then request Capt Joey when booking this charter company!!!!  You will NOT be disappointed!!!

We did half day reef fishing with Captain John. We caught lots of yellow snapper as well as mutton snapper and cero mackerel. There was bad weather in the area and we got some good fishing in before John called it a day, which was absolutely the right decision. He was very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our time fishing with him. We would absolutely choose Captain John again. You will have a great experience fishing with him!

I’d like to thank our captain, Ryan. He took us out and put us right on the mahi. I can’t say enough good things about Ryan. Me and the wife decided to drink late the night before so we suffered a little. Lol, but we survived. Now for the big ass fish story. Ryan put us on the weed line and this majestic animal decided to bite. What a fight it gave me. It took me two hours to get this monster up to the boat. After two hours I had to tap captain Ryan in because my arms were jelly after that fight. His fresh arms were what was needed to bring it up. We will definitely be coming back with these guys. We highly recommend if you’re looking for your own fish story.

My wife, another couple and I spent the morning fishing with Captain Joey on the Coolwater 2. Joey put us right on some fish on our first stop. We caught, Yellowfin Snapper, Porkies, Yellow Jack, Yellowfin Tuna and some different types Grouper which were out of season. We brought back 15 to 20 fish and caught many more. Captain Joey was attentive to everyone aboard the boat. With the fishing died down he was quick to move the boat to put us on the more fish. He was great with my wife and the other women who both, had no prior ocean fishing experience. I would highly recommend fishing with Captain Joey aboard the Coolwater 2. We had a great time!
