Thank you Todd for a great weekend of fishing. If you are looking for a fishing guide, Todd is your man. Not only is he a very knowledgeable and skilled fisherman, he truly cares for about the people he takes out to go fishing. We booked 2 fishing trips with Todd. The first day, was a very solid fishing trip. We hooked in to several small salmons (5 to 6 pounds) threw out the day, but we ended up keeping 8, 9 and 15 pounders as well as 2 halibuts and 2 rock cod. Todd worked really hard to make sure we got to fish for all the different species of fish we wanted. And to top it off he spent an extra 2 hours trying to get us to limit out on our salmon. He almost succeeded, but I ended up missing the 20 pounder. His normal fishing trip is 8 to 10 hours, but that day we end up fishing for 12+ hours. The 2nd fishing trip was even better. It the grand daddy of all trips. We end up limiting out on salmon and rock cod. When we first got to the fishing ground, Todd was setting up the lines and he marked 2 large salmons on the fish finder. You can tell from his voice he was excited. We dropped both lines in and within 5 mins we had a small tug on the line. Todd jumped and pulled the rod out and set the hook and he immediately said this a big one. I grabbed the rod and the fish proceeded to run 100 yards out. It was a great fight. It ended up running 2 more times. After 30 min of fighting, it end up being a 30 lbs. We proceed on catching 2 more. A 22 pounder and 25 pounder. Both were great fights. All this action with the first hour of fishing. The bit ended up slowing down because the tide change and Todd recommend we should sit tight and wait for the last King salmon. For the next 3 hours we ended up catching several small salmons and black sea basses. While our boat was passing one another boat, the other guide, which was Todd’s friend, mentioned he missed a big on by the rock. Sure enough when we made our pass by the rock, we got a small tug on rod. Todd grabs the rod and sets the hook and he yells again its a big one. It was my dad’s turn. This fight was much different from the others. It refuse to be “walked out” and it refused to surface. It stayed for a solid 15 min in the deep. Even when we brought it up, you can tell it still had a lot of fight in it even though the fight was 30 minutes plus. The 4th King was worth waiting for because it was largest of the bunch. 30+ pounds. The day was not over. Todd topped off day with some rock cod fishing. To get these size salmon this time of year is uncommon. Most people will be happy with one 20+ pounder. The last time my dad and I fished in Ucluelet was 10 yrs ago the same time of year and we only caught one 20+ pounder and we really happy. From what I can gather, this year amount of salmon is a bit lower than the past, but the size is much bigger than normal. But it is definitely hard to beat a day when you can get 4 Kings that are 20 lb plus. Without Todd’s help and guidance, we would have never had this opportunity to laid such large fish. The guides I had 10 years ago did not spend the time to teaching us how to fish with a fly rod. With Todd guidance and directions, we practically caught all the fish we hooked it. Fishing takes a lot of luck but fishing with Todd definitely help stack the deck in your favor. Thank you Todd for helping my dad and I create great memories. A fishing trip of a lifetime!

Hi Stuart, you and your Dad were an absolute pleasure to take fishing and spend the day with. True fishing enthusiasts!! Great to be a part of a father and son fishing trip, I learned a lot of what I showed you from my father many years ago.
Great skipper probably the best in Ucululet ,will fish with Highroller again
Todd was a great guide! We had never been salmon fishing before. When we were looking for a charter, we saw that some reviews said that he could find fish on days when others couldn’t. That proved to be true on our trip. It was a tough day fishing, but Todd got us our salmon, while it didn’t look like other boats were catching anything. We highly recommend booking with him!
After a delay caused by mother nature, we made it out on the water for a great day of fishing. We put the fish on ice and raced back to catch the ferry home.
Todd was great! We went out on a half day trip targeting Chinook, and Todd was engaging, experienced, and productive. We caught some beauties and had a very enjoyable outing! I highly recommend him.
Hi Tom, hope to see you again!!
