We had a great time on this charter. We only went out for a few hours but landed 13 small tuna and one monster wahoo. Boat was shaded and comfortable, captain and deck hand were great. Would go again!
Thanks happy you guys had a good trip. We welcome you back.
Captain tried his best really IDK what he could have done better except he could have had a few words of English on board somebody. .. sit and wait for a reel to go I did catch 5 tuna we boat around and around the same area for three hours the rollers 6-8 foot swells and I got sick. Once I picked I felt better but had no way to comunícate if we were going to continue the round and round I was tired and bored . It’s the chance you take when you fish in a different country I guess I was offered night fishing and got no response from captain John when I texted back but he did not respond yet This is a review of my experience not of the business

I corresponded with an English speaker, who I assume was the owner of the boat, who did not indicate to me that when I arrived at the boat, the “captain” duny and the mate pop both spoke zero English. Thank god I had my Spanish fluent friend with me who translated, even though the crew were both reluctant to speak with us at all. I had requested to the English speaking owner that we DO NOT TROLL many times in the lead up to the trip, and clearly this wasn’t communicated as we trolled aimlessly in circles for 5 hours, despite me asking at least 3 times throughout this duration for us to drop on a wreck, to which the captain straight up denied. During this time I also fixed the boat’s fish finder which was literally showing a blank screen, and to which the captain explicitly asked us to fix since he “didn’t know how it worked”. We caught 4 tiny king mackerel over this 5 hour period, after which I couldn’t take it anymore and demanded to the captain that we stop, after my friend relayed to me that the “captain” and mate were arguing about which direction to drive the boat. I asked to drop on a rock pile or a wreck, or any sort of structure, to which the “captain” responded that he only knew about ONE wreck that was too shallow to fish on. How is it possible that a knowledgeable captain only knows about ONE wreck in an entire region. I said screw it and we’d jig on a dropoff, to which the captain shrugged and responded that we wouldn’t catch anything after my friend translated to him. WITHIN 30 seconds of dropping a jig, I’d hooked up to an Amberjack. Upon a couple re-drifts over the next hour, we caught another 3 jacks to which the captain sheepishly grinned to me when I threw my hands up in exasperation at our previous fruitless trolling.

Hey there Mate, the region wahoo are in this time of year is far to the north. Meaning there isnt many wrecks or good bottom fishing. Seems communication was a issue here. The office indicated the morning you would be trolling to get into the bigger wahoo. We have three boats with similar equipment on them. CAPT Duny is extremely knowledgeable in the Caribbean waters off the coast of colombian with over 40 years fishing there waters. If you wanted a jigging trip or bottom fishing that would have to be stated from the beginning. The follow up after the trip you said it was a great trip and asked for suggestions of resturants to cook up catch…...... no amber Jack’s in our region… bar Jack’s and black jacks….. Cheer up mate.
