Our 4 trip with Captain Devin was a blast. I didn’t think he would be so accommodating and have us so many different techniques from trolling to wreck fishing. He 100% wanted to get us in fish and tried to accommodate our request of not doing trolling so he compromised with us and we were able to do a little bit of everything! Him and his crew definitely know what they are doing and the trip was such a blast! We caught way more than what we anticipated so we asked to cut the trip short giving them some time back in their day.
I will definitely be back to go fishing with him again!

Always good to go out on the Proacher, last week seas were especially calm. We caught some ” Ribbon Fish” , they are fish , not eels as some incorrectly believe. AKA “Cutlass fish ” Once and still are used for bait , they prize fish in Japan, and now being accepted here in the USA for the table. Depending on your palate, they are quite tasty , ribbonfish were used primarily as a baitfish for king mackerel fishing, but little else. A wiggly ribbonfish flopping in the ocean’s surface would quickly draw a king mackerel bite. Otherwise, they were considered more or less a trash fish and everybody tossed them back, until the day somebody ate one. They are delicious, a highly prized food fish in Japan. The meat is described as white and mild, and a little flaky—a cross between a speckled trout and a flounder. They are delicious when poached, baked, steamed, sautéed or fried. They are a genuine delicacy. Nobody tosses them back anymore. They go into coolers. ! After catching fish , we when and did some fishing, without any luck. But it was a Great day and Trip ! Looking forward to the next one !

We had an excellent time on this trip. Captain Devin was knowledgeable and kept us on fish from the jump. His first mate Spencer was amazing! Very personal, kid friendly, and just enjoyable to interact with in general. We all really enjoyed this trip and we would love to do it again, whenever we are back in the area. We caught enough fish to last us for at least half a year! I would high recommend this to anyone wanting a trolling deep sea fishing experience well worth the money! Can’t say enough good things about this! The boat was extremely clean as well! Top stars, thanks so much for the memories we got from this excursion for this summer beach trip!
