Booked a 6 hour trip for my son and I during our port of call in Cozumel with Captain Laura. Although she was not the Captain for our trip, Walden, along with Rigo, and Moises worked very hard to put fish on the boat. We had a tough start with building waves and winds which made the bite slow. The crew worked hard making sure the baits stayed fresh, trying different colors, and techniques. We caught some nice Mahi and a real nice Sailfish, but even if we had not, I would still recommend them because they know what they are doing and keep trying their best for the customer. Looking forward to booking again for some Wahoo and Marlin! Thanks for a great trip!

This trip was as advertised. Capt. Laura emailed within a few days of booking the trip and we talked on the phone and text as the fishing day got closer. She was on time, boat was clean and ready to fish(6 rods & reels). Capt. Walbert took us fishing along with first mate Jimmy and his helper. All were courteous and friendly. They worked hard (changing bait and location numerous times) to get us hooked up on a sailfish and marlin but were not successful. We did get mahi-mahi! They provided beverages, snacks and lunch. The ONLY reason they are not getting a perfect score is because of the slow fishing that day. I look forward to fishing with them again.

Good boat, friendly captain and crew. I think they did their job but we caught no fish. That was a bit disappointing.
This is the hardest review I’ve ever had to write, I really want to be able to say all good things, but I can’t. This trip was for my honeymoon and we booked and paid for 6 hours. 4 hours fishing and 2 hours snorkeling. We didn’t snorkel at all and fished for 5 hours. The worst part was at the end of the night (it was dark which was why we had to go back early) we got dropped off at a pier but the gate to the road was locked. We were running around trying to find a way out but everything was locked up, I was absolutely terrified. We came back down to the pier and the Kay Kib was still there out on the water. The seas were really rough so I don’t think they wanted to come back, but I believe they would have if we hadn’t gotten out. They yelled to us to try going to right but that gate was also locked; however, there were people outside so I yelled for help. A couple tourists came over to the gate and I told them we were locked out and just needed to get back to the road. The woman stayed with us because she could tell I was terrified and panicking. The man went and found a hotel worker who got a security guard and he was able to unlock the gate and let us into the hotel grounds and then escorted us out to the road. It was a terrible ending to a great day fishing. In fact, we tipped the captain and the one crew member $80 in spite of the fact we didn’t get to snorkel. Here are the good parts: they are friendly, worked hard, and got us on fish. It was abvious they are experienced deep sea fishermen and they knew the waters. They had cold beverages including water, soda, and beer. They had fresh pineapple and melon for us to eat and packaged lunches that had double decker sandwiches, pudding, and a chocolate bar. The crew member on bottom deck with us was checking bait, changing bait, and definitely worked hard to make sure we caught fish. It was a great time. My husband and I caught a mahi mahi each, 5 or 6 tuna between the 2 of us and the last fish at the end of the night was a barracuda my husband got. I would fish with them again but I definitely have mixed emotions about the whole experience. I’m not sure the crew knew we had scheduled 6 hours or that we were supposed to snorkel. So I would want to make sure that everyone was on the same page and that at the end of the night we wouldn’t have a scare like we did this time. It pretty much ruined the night for us and I hate that it happened that way. If it wasn’t for that, my review would be good, even though we didn’t snorkel and had an hour less on the water then what we paid for. I’m not sure how far their pier is from where we were, maybe it would have been better to go back there and take a taxi back to the cruise ship, the cost would have been worth it. Then it wouldn’t have been so traumatic. I also thought they would clean the fish for us and we would be able to keep what we caught but maybe I’m mistaken about that. We love to fish and I would definitely recommend fishing out on the ocean.

Had an outstanding time. Great day on the water. We did not find a lot of fish but it had nothing to do with the crew. They were continuioisly changing bate trying from in shore to further out. We did finally hook up with a decent barrocuda which was good. The captain stayed out longer than the booked time trying to catch more just couldn’t find Moore. This is my sixth trip out from st Martin to outer Banks and I was completely satisfied with the trip.
