My step son and I went out with Capt Mike today.  It was very cold , for Florida, and rainy but we went anyway . We caught some huge trout and a bunch of different others. For a day that was pretty crappy Mike made a day to remember! Thanks my friend for giving my boy and I a great bday present!

I didn’t intend to get all mushy here but Captain Mike showed us a great time and at the end of it all we sort of feel a bit more connected.
Captain had good communications with us ahead of the scallop trip, 10 days into the season. It wasn’t a great season so far, so he said. We managed to catch enough for dinner. You could see all the other boats the whole time, but Captain had a plan. Even when we almost got caught in shallow water by the tide he was relaxed and we enjoyed the slow evening cruise back.
Captain recommended a local watering hole to cook our catch for is. It was a little dubious but it turned out perfect.
I don’t want to give too much more away. I want you to make your own experiences. Suffice to say that this, the main attraction for our vacation to Crystal River, was time and money well spent.

Knowledgeable and great sense of humor. Had an enjoyable day and hooked a variety of fish.  We will definitely fish with Capt Mike again

Captain Mike was awesome, conditions were not ideal for catching but he did everything he could to get us a few into the boat and then some.  He took some additional time out of his day to try all of his favorite spots and everyone enjoyed the day and getting to know him.  We will be back!

The Scallop trip was amazing . We live 1 block from the ocean in Key Biscayne , Fl where there is great fishing and boating so we are not easily impressed , but the family enjoyed Cpt.  Mike ‘s knowledge , passion and enthusiasm for Scalloping ,  We will definitely come back next year . Cpt Mike is the real deal
