Fun family event and we caught fish!  Great at teaching us to fish and cast.

I highly recommend Freedom Tours and this fishing trip, not because of the experience or the fishing, but because of the service.  The captain and mate were excellent and very knowledgeable.  Most importantly, they were gracious and flexible because three of our six passengers got severe sea sickness less than an hour into the trip.  Fishing outside of the reef is in deep water and the water can be rocky from time to time; and unfortunately half of my group took their Dramamine too late in addition to eating too much just before the trip.  We did hook and bring in a 4-foot barracuda early on and likely would have had a great day with other big fish if we didn’t have to turn back to get the sick members back to land.  It was a bitter-sweet trip, but I’d definitely go back with Freedom Tours the next time I’m back in Belize.

The captain and crew were great and friendly, unfortunately our group was unable to catch anything but a single bait fish and I know Captain Hillyboo was disappointed he couldn’t hook us up despite his best efforts. Guess that’s why they call it fishing and not catching!

We had a great time fishing. Got on barracuda right away but we’re not able to get on Bill fish or wahoo like we wanted. That’s why they call it fishing not catching! The only negative thing I have to say is we were told by our crew that barracuda was not a good eating fish so we only took 1 fish to try back to our house. After returning to our house our cook instructed us that barracuda was a delicious sought after fish and after eating what was prepared for us we agree! The crew took 5-6 barracuda with them because we were misled that they were not a sought after meal. If not for that I would give 5 stars for the trip.
