Grandpa wanted to check a fishing experience off his bucket list.  We planned a trip to Galveston Island from Iowa and Grandpa did some researching of Fishing Charters.  Decided on Line Check.  Everyone had a great experience fishing with Line Check. Grandma Battled at hammerhead and had to have daughter Angie step in catch and released. Grandchildren caught sharks and Johnny landed one of the two Jacks.  Son-in-law took his turn with a Shark.  Can’t forget Grandpa caught one of the two Jacks and caught and released sand shark.

Captain Eric had us catching 15+ pound Black Drum within about 20 minutes of leaving the boat slip! After catching several massive Black Drums using blue crab bait, we motored to the jetties.  Captain Eric set the anchor & we all started catching Sheepshead!  We had a great day & limited out on our Sheepshead catch using shrimp bait!

My son and I had 2 separate outings; 1 evening and 1 the following morning. Weather was against us both times, but we still went out safely and enjoyed ourselves. First evening we caught 4 different species and my son hooked into multiple drum and we caught a few sheep. Following morning hardly any boats were catching anything at all, but Cap tried 3 different spots in an effort to get us on fish. Cap is extremely easy going and wants you to catch fish. Son and I are planning another trip during the summer. I would definitely recommend Line Check

Went out with Captain Eric for Jetty trip.  This guy is very experienced and can catch fish.  When few others were catching my son and I were busy pulling up a variety of fish.  Perfect half day trip followed by a great fish dinner that night with my son.  Boat is spacious and well equipped.  Eric took care of everything bait, fish removal, and cleaning the fish - highly recommended for both experienced and inexperienced fishermen!

The bite was slow that afternoon because of the heat it was a big time adventure. We boated several sharks and one epic 8 foot hammerhead. Experience of a lifetime seeing a creature that big on the end of your line. My 16 year old son and I made a memory this day because of Eric Line check charters. Eric was awesome and highly skilled couple other guides in the area but we were the only ones catching sharks.Erics knowledge and experience made this memory possible.
