Captain Jeff is very patient, and does his job well. He’s a very likable person, and works well with people who have little to no experience. He would put on our bait, and cast for my sister every time since she was having trouble which she appreciated. There was often tangles and baits flying off since the two people with me have never really been fishing. He was patient and worked with them even though I’m sure it got frustrating after a while. The first three hours we couldn’t find the fish which was unfortunate even though we were hitting his good spots. But, after only two mackerel and a couple hours we finally found some trout, a red fish, and a blue fish. The trip was kind of disappointing because it took forever to find the fish. But, I don’t think it was the Captain’s fault because he knows that big fish hang out in these areas normally, just not today. The experience was very enjoyable, and we had a ton of fun. Again, it was kind of lack luster because we couldn’t find any fish for so long but, I believe this morning was just an unfortunate outlier. Overall, I’d recommend this charter for new fisherman or experienced. Captain Jeff knows what he’s doing, and has a nice boat, and equipment. I wouldn’t go on the boat with more then three people though especially if you are inexperienced because there wasn’t a ton of room. And It was also kind of expensive, but I’m sure you will have a ton of fun and catch some nice fish if you decide to go this adventure.

Capt Jeff did a fantastic job coordinating before the trip. Made some recommendations and stayed in contact all the way up to a final weather call the morning of. Got us in some Tripletail right away and then moved unsure to aim Sheeps Head, Blues, and Spanish Mackerel. Great boat skills on a nice 17.5 bay boat. Very personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend going out with him.

Captain Jeff was very knowledgeable! You can definitely tell he knows his fishing business and the river. Even though we weren’t catching a lot of fish, he kept working and moving us around to catch fish and we finally hit one spot that we landed 4 sea trout and 1 red fish (that we had to throw back because it was too big to keep). Captain Jeff is a nice guy and we had a very enjoyable morning work him celebrating fathers day with my husband and my father in law. We recommend him and look forward to using him as a guide again!

We had a great time today! We caught over 30 fish and kept quite a few to include a really nice flounder! We also had a really big fish on for a while but it broke our line. We saw an eagle ray, a shark, a giant loggerhead turtle & lot of other really neat wildlife. Capt Jeff cleaned our fish at the end and my boys got a kick out of the pelicans that tried to steal our fish. All in all it was a great trip. My boys were going on and on about how much fun they had. We would definitely book another trip with Capt Jeff in the future!!!

This was our 1st time going out on a charter boat and we would go again!  Had a great time with Jeff.  He is very knowledgeable of the river and just an all around good guy.
