I took a chance on booking my kids first ocean fishing trip with Storymaker and Captain Rob, primarily based on ratings from others.  I am happy to report that I was impressed.  I have booked multiple trips before with other charters and I can tell you this was hands down one of the best and it was because Captain Rob really wants you to land fish, have a great time and he is not at all afraid to work to make that happen.  He has fished Tampa’s waters for decades and knows where to find the fish and how they will act with weather, tide, etc.  When I noticed that other charters out on the water were watching and following where Captain Rob went and what he was doing, I confirmed I hired the right charter.  We landed multiple snook, and my son landed a nice 32” red fish which was the highlight of trip. 

A really important aspect for this particular trip was that this was the first chartered trip that I took with my kids, 11 and 14, and I wanted a great experience for them.  You never know the personalities you might get on a charter whether you land fish or not… Captain Rob is a good family guy and gave great instruction, care and patience with my kids.  There was not a single swear word the entire trip which I really appreciated. 

I would highly recommend Storymaker to friends and family.  Thanks Captain Rob!  We will be back.

By far the best Charter I have ever had. Cpt. Rob and Skipper Steve are awesome guides. They know their stuff and put us on great fish!!! In fact so well that boats followed us to spots! Well worth every penny!!
