We caught many small speckled trout, sand trout and ladyfish. DJ worked very hard to put us on some larger fish but to no avail.

Our second trip with Captain DJ and he did not disappoint. We moved from spot to spot and were successful in bringing home a large bag of fish, which we cooked up fresh that night. We had a exciting encounter with a good size shark that thought the fish we were catching was his. I would highly recommend a day on the water with captain DJ.

Perfect trip. As an angler who spends 3-4 days a week bass fishing back home, I wanted to catch some decent redfish and snook. Captain DJ made it happen. The first spot we hit was non stop snapper action. Every cast was a catch. After wearing them out we went for reds and snook. Dj put me on some monsters. The snook action was next to non stop. We ended up landing over 10 snook and lost a few to the ‘tax man’, 3 monster sharks. All in all we ended the day with 4 reds, 10+ snook, and over 20 mangrove snappers. I had my reservations by being a tourist but DJ exceeded my expectations. You tell him what you want and as long as he can find them, your on them. I’ll be coming back in a few months!

I want to start by saying Captain Ariel is an amazing mentor for younger anglers. My 11 year old is still learning the basics and the Captain was patient with him and made him feel like he was a true fishermen. He put us on fish all day. We started by catching some Mangrove Snappers till we hit our limit, then proceeded to do some snook fishing pulling in a few and ended the day with some red fishing; catching two nice keepers. If you are going to be fishing in Key Largo, this is an amazing experience for you and your kids, I cannot say enough; my two boys are still talking about it.

Captain DJ was so professional to pick-up my Dad nd I right on time at our dock from Key Lime Cottage Sailing Club in Key Largo, FL~ Captain DJ warmly greeted us ensured us we were in for a fantastic day of fishing with lots of fun~ And lots of fish to catch. Capt DJ took us all the way out to Everglades National Park, His Fishing Boat was organized and new! Our rod’s were ready new prepared all new equipment and live bait.  We boarded charted through the beautiful waters of Key Largo for 45 minutes.  The boat ride was smooth. once Captain DJ knew a hot spot.  We cast our lines we were catching red snappers for 3 hours+ straight!!! All big fish for snapper!  Captain DJ was so fun to show us great fishing techniques to catch the snapper within 1 minute after another.  He was positive, encouraging and really puts his heart into ensuring we had the best experience we did! After hours of a huge nag of snapper before we returned. Captain DJ fileted all of our fish. we had so much food to eat!  Captain DJ made our fishing excursion the highlight of our Vacation! I highly recommend you book in advance as we met another couple at our resort with the same amazing experience Capt DJ fit us into his schedule and it was an amazing experience had the nest time!!!!!
