Gene is PHENOMENAL!!! I’ve been in communication with him for an entire year attempting to schedule my Mother in law’s fishing trip in hopes to catch a blue Marlin as this is on her bucket list ☺️ Gene contacted me and alerted that the Marlins were out and about a litter earlier than usual this year so we booked the trip with zero promises! Gene is a gracious host and made us breakfast before we arrived for our 5:15am departure time!! We boarded and quickly headed almost 60 miles off shore to begin our hunt for the beautiful Blue Marlin 😁 It only took a little while of hopeful trolling before the blue Marlin hopped up out of the water several times and bait was thrown in his path in which he happily accepted and gave us a ride of a lifetime!!! Gene and his two Co-Captains worked tirelessly reeling this big ass Marlin in while allowing us to partake in the excitement with guidance!! It’s still completely mind blowing to me that we just caught a dream fish for my mother in law considering the fact that we were in the dead center of the endless Ocean and had better odds of hitting the lotto than landing a bucket list fish of this species!!! I wish there were more than 5 stars because this crew definitely deserves a sky full!! Gene and his crew truly enjoy every minute of what they do and were almost more excited than we were about catching the Marlin!! This experience was priceless to me and I will be forever thankful to Gene and his team!!!

This was the best fishing trip my wife and I have ever been on. Captain Gene and his mate Riley put us on the fish from the time we started fishing until it was time too head home. We caught more fish than I could count. we caught barracuda, black sea bass, vermillion, trigger fish, and a big amber jack too top it off. I would absolutely recommend this charter

Captain Alex and first mates David and Riley were the best fishing crew ever. They worked the lines tirelessly, explained local conditions and sights and were exceptionally polite. Captain Alex had my son helping to bait the tantalizer and patiently showed him how to filet his mahi mahi. Captain Gene (Captain Alex’s dad) came by after our trip to make sure we were well cared for and even provided his favorite mahi mahi recipe. I can’t say enough good things about the crew and our experience.

The boat is fast and the water was calm for the first time in quite a while. There was a little rain, and the boat does not have a sheltered cabin, but the rain was light and passed quickly. Although conditions were good, the fish just weren’t biting much. My son landed a nice mahi mahi, and we hooked 2 others that didn’t make it to the boat as well as 2 sailfish that threw their hooks. The other fishing boats had similar luck, so no complaints. That’s how fishing goes sometimes.

Captain Gene and his two mates made our fishing experience safe, fun and very memorable.  Our day started with a hiccup.  One of us could not get an Uber ride and missed our morning launch.  Captain Gene understood how important it was to get my son on the boat and waited 45 minutes for me to pick him up and join us. Captain was unsure of weather conditions, but expertly got us 30+ miles out.  We trolled and got a barracuda, then he took us to his bottom drop fishing spot and put us on fish immediately.  All five of us put keepers in the box.  Captain and his mates made sure we had bait on our hooks and kept the action going.  Once back on land, Captain filleted our catch and sent us on our way with more than enough fish for a great grilled dinner for the whole family.  Gene kept the day fun, and was very informative. I wouldn’t hesitate to do this again and recommend Captain Gene for a group of 5 or 6 for a good time and great fishing.
