Unfortunately, sometimes in spite of our best efforts and intentions, the fish simply refuse to bite.. On behalf of Captain Shad’s, I humbly and sincerely apologize for any disappointment you suffered.. Great time yesterday with Capt Shad on our Near Shore fishing trip. We didn’t have many bites on our lines with the rough seas and low sea temps but had a great experience for our first time out. Capt is knowledgeable and did his best to find us some fish. We caught about 5-7 small sized Spanish mackerel. Will try again when weather warms up and hopefully with calmer seas. We didn’t catch much, but that definitely wasn’t for the lack of Captain Shad trying!! We had a blast out on the water with the him. He was fun, told us about some history in the area, got to know us, played good jams and kept us involved in everything. We can’t wait to come back and book with him again! Thanks for helping us make sure great memories Captain Shad!!

First time trolling. Captain Shad is very knowledgeable. He informed us of the safety rules, showed us how to reel the line in when there was a fish on the line. I can sum it up in Captain Shad’s words. Paraphrasing of course. “I don’t sell fishes, I sell good times while fishing! had a great time. I would definitely recommend Captain Shad. I booked a shark fishing charter with Captain Shad and it was incredible! We started out catching some mackerel which we hooked 6. After that we went to shark fishing but we didn’t end up getting a shark on. Captain Shad made things easy and was extremely fun! I would absolutely recommend Captain Shad’s charter and I’ll be booking again when I go back to Myrtle Beach.

Although the fish just didn’t want to be our friend it was not for lack of trying. We had a great time, the kiddos were able to have fun and enjoy the overall experience. Would definitely recommend. Shad was very honest about the conditions before hand and we were down for it all. Very clean environment and learned so much from shad.
